I have wanted to be blonde for years. Not just some fun highlights or low lights, but blonde. BLONDE blonde. After almost 5 years, my stylist finally decided to let me live out my blonde dreams, and I must say, I like it over here.
The hair was provided by Mayvenn Hair, who I have been exclusively using for the past 5 years. I got 3 bundles of the Virgin Indian Loose Wave in the Dark Blonde (#27) with Dark Brown (#1B) roots in the lengths 14″, 16″ and 18″. I chose the dark blonde as I knew my stylist would need to color my leave out, and she will only let me go but so blonde to preserve my curl pattern.
When coloring my hair, I always opt for roots and not coloring to the scalp as my hair grows insanely fast, and I’m not a fan of hard demarcation lines as it grows out. I also don’t color my hair often for the health of my hair (and my wallet).
For the install my stylist did a deep side part with very minimal leave out. She strategically and meticulously colored my hair to not only match the bundles, but accentuate my layers and how I wear my hair day to day.
