Location
As for this year, we decided to up the ante. Our parties are usually at someone’s house, but hosting can become cumbersome. With that in mind, we decided let’s have it at a hotel so we can just come and leave (always bringing some of our own decor for visuals of course). Ashley hooked us up with a presidential suite at the Kimpton Lorien Hotel and Spa in Alexandria, Virginia.
Attire
The location upped the ante, so no onesies like in the past. We decided to Do The Most, and Ericka found these amazing ensembles for us on Pretty Little Things (Bralette, Top, Pants). We took into account budgets and body types, hence the high waisted pants and oversized shirts. Please note the Bralette is not forgiving or designed for those blessed in the chest. D cups and up, beware!
Makeup
We wanted the ensemble to do the talking, so it was just glam with lots of lash. I personally had old school Victoria Secret Fashion Show vibes in my head. I created my look using Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, KISS lashes and the Jackie Aina palette from ABH. Lip combo is an NYX lip pencil and Kevyn Aucoin gloss in “Neotania”.
