Best Blushes for Black Women

I used to be terrified of blush. I am now a believer and a certified blush whore. I will never forget my first blush purchase ever. It was from MAC Cosmetics, a collection with Diana Ross. The packaging was pretty and pink, and it was the most beautiful berry blush ever. I had to have it. I was turned out from that moment on.

I’ve been on a crusade since that day to get more black women to wear blush. With that being said I compiled a list of some of my favorites as well as those from some of my favorite make-up sisters.

Blushes can be just like eyeshadows satin, matte, mineralize or frost. My personal preference is a mineralize blush as it gives luminosity to the skin and double as a highlighter.

One thing I can tell you is, the scarier the bush color looks, the better it will appear on your skin. TRUST ME. Hot pinks, oranges, corals, peaches, berry and terra-cotta colors look absolutely amazing on brown skin. If you need help on how to apply blush click here.

While all blushes aren’t created equal, here are some great options for you to start with that won’t break the bank. Happy Shopping!
