It’s that time of year for holiday parties, and to say that my friends and I go all out is an understatement. For the third year in a row I have participated in a Favorite Things Holiday Party. I have an amazing group of friends who are dedicated to the vision and when we execute a theme, WE EXECUTE A THEME.Last year we were reindeer, since there are 8 of this. This year we were Ice Queens. And we’re already planning next year’s theme. *Birdman hand rub*
Many have asked how we pull this off, and let me be the first to say it really starts with a solid group of women. Each of us are equally excited, and dedicated to executing the chosen theme. Everyone has a role, and we all play our part. It’s not only a time to have fun, but to fellowship in sisterhood and continue an unbreakable bond.
GUIDELINES:
- Each lady contributes three of their absolute favorite thing to give away.
- It should be three of the SAME thing (ex: if your favorite thing is a perfume, then you get three of that same perfume)
- Everyone writes their name on three slips of paper and place them in a bowl/hat/bag
- One by one each lady presents their favorite thing, sharing highlights/details about the item
- The person presenting then picks three names from the bowl/hat/bag
- Each lady goes home with three gifts!
ENSEMBLE:
Here are the details for our ensemble: Onesie, Fur Cuffs and Fur Leg Warmers. The headbands were a DIY project with zip ties and silver spray paint.
MAKEUP:
I requested that everyone have champagne shimmer on the lid, a glowing face with a pinky nude lip and lots of lash.
GIFTS:
Each of us are required to bring 3 gifts. Gifts aren’t wrapped as we display them on the table and we can all see what is up for grabs. Makes it more fun for us. We have established a gift minimum of $35 per item. We’re grown and we want nice gifts. We have banned journals and candles (unless it’s a very expensive/special journal or candle). Your item should be something that you use, have bought, would purchase again and want to share with the rest. Everyone walks away with 3 amazing gifts to try.
