Contrary to popular belief, there is a very significant difference between makeup setting products and finishing products. What’s the difference? Let me tell you.
Finishing sprays are intended to change the actual finish of your makeup. I like to use the MAC Fix+ Spray after I have applied all of my powder products. This helps my makeup melt with the powders and appear more lived in and not so open casket sharp and cakey. You can also alter your finish by making it more dewy or matte.
After I will go in with a setting spray that is intended to help with the wear and longevity of my makeup for hours on end.
PRO TIP: If you really want to ensure that your makeup is bulletproof and doesn’t budge, spray your setting spray between each step of your makeup process before you set with powders.
